Wow! Remember those re-cut, re-edited movie trailers on Youtube that had been re-imagined to fit all the filmic conventions of some other genre? (Mary Poppins-cum-“Scary Mary’ was perhaps the most popular, but I always enjoyed the recast Shining if only for the use of Peter Gabriel… btw, had anyone else heard that Stephen King is apparently writing a sequel to The Shining?)
Well, sequels may not typically be so great, but what about fake prequels — or “Premakes,” to be exact. Pretty impressive, imho.
